Monitoring biological degradation of historical stone using hyperspectral imaging

نویسندگان

چکیده

Stone is one of the most common materials used as a building material in central Europe for centuries. Historical objects are endangered by degradation procedures coming from physical, chemical and biological weathering agents. The process itself should be analysed detail order to prevent historical application proper restoration cleaning techniques. Within our research, sandstone block was during time monitor changes on surface. The object interest situated immediate vicinity Charles Bridge Prague, which protected UNESCO heritage site. This site chosen due high overall humidity all year long. For investigation year- round biodegradation hyperspectral sensor used. In first place, data were processed using four vegetation indices (NDVI, RGRI, CRI1 VREI1). All indicate that thriving subject normal seasonal change. second method processing use spectral reflectance curves their subsequence Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) classification algorithms. A decline with onset autumn winter months detected.

Compressive fluorescence microscopy for biological and hyperspectral imaging.

The mathematical theory of compressed sensing (CS) asserts that one can acquire signals from measurements whose rate is much lower than the total bandwidth. Whereas the CS theory is now well developed, challenges concerning hardware implementations of CS-based acquisition devices--especially in optics--have only started being addressed. This paper presents an implementation of compressive sensi...

Monitoring temporal development and healing of diabetic foot ulceration using hyperspectral imaging.

This study combines non-invasive hyperspectral imaging with an experimentally validated skin optical model and inverse algorithm to monitor diabetic feet of two representative patients. It aims to observe temporal changes in local epidermal thickness and oxyhemoglobin concentration and to gain insight into the progression of foot ulcer formation and healing. Foot ulceration is a debilitating co...

Cutaneous wound analysis using hyperspectral imaging.

A correlative bright-field and hyperspectral analysis of full-thickness, cutaneous wounds in a porcine model was undertaken to investigate the efficacy of hyperspectral imaging as an alternate method for wound identification. Analysis of a randomly selected specimen yielded distinct spectral signatures for cutaneous regions of interest including the epidermis, injured dermis, and normal dermis....

Chicken Carcasses Using Hyperspectral Fluorescence Imaging

This article presents a method for detecting skin tumors on chicken carcasses using hyperspectral fluorescence imaging data, which provide fluorescence information in both spectral and spatial dimensions. Since these two kinds of information are complementary to each other, it is necessary to exploit them in a synergistic manner. Chicken carcasses are examined first using spectral information, ...
